Tuesday, July 5.
Brenda goes back to work.
The library is open. The post office.
Brenda made chicken and dumplings Saturday.
She cooked a baking hen. I used the leftover meat
for a chicken pot pie. I cooked snapper throats
Balder gave us, with Cole slaw and baked beans,
for the 4th of July. I cooked it outside, on the porch,
in the fish cooker. It’s nice to have the porch cleaned off.
The fish was delicious.
