You could tell it was laundry day because Pyle was out of clean shirts to wear
to work.
He wore a green polyester T shirt with a collar on it from his last
permanent job, the one he got fired from, for blogging.
He was the anthropologist-in-residence
(AIR) at the L. A. (Lower Alabama) Folk Life Center.
His actual job title
was handyman, and he didn't have a computer, but he wrote in his head, at work.
And then he posted it at The Daily By-Catch. At home, on his own time.
I think the bosslady monitored his web site. She was paranoid about him writing
something bad about them.
So he wasn't fired for blogging, he was laid off
for conduct unbecoming a handyman.
They didn't like a piece he posted called
"The Anthropologist-in-Residence (AIR) Creed."
