I saw James Lipton interview Mickey Rourke.
In response to a question from
the audience, he said
something like, "You're who you are. You do not change.
You
make the same decisions, based on your character.
One day I realized, This
is not working. I thought about it.
I considered something I would have rejected
out of hand, before.
It was a growth opportunity. Painful, but I was in a rut.
I saw that
it wasn't cowardly to change. Sticking with the old business was
safe.
Doing something different wasn't shameful, it was brave." I wondered
how
that would apply to me. I can't see how. I lack imagination.
I have it too easy.
I'm not under any pressure.
So much pressure. So much pressure.
