At lunch, at work. Co-workers talking about
what they'd do if they won the
lottery.
Made me think about what I'll do if I don't.
I'll stay at home and
write a book. I see a two-book series,
called Unemployment and Television.
The first book is called
WORKINGMAN'S BLUES, about finishing up a contract writing
job,
and the second one is called REVERTED TO MY PERMANENT RANK:
YARDBIRD.
I wasn't terminated. I was laid off for lack of work.
I'm not eligible for unemployment
because I didn't pay enough in
since my last spell of unemployment, from April
2008 to July 2009.
Back in the saddle again. Back in the shitrain.

In 1985, Anthony Burgess said the future holds
"work and television."
1985 was published in 1978.
