Wooly-Bugger

I remember the first day of school, I wore shoes.

I took them off at recess.  After that, I kept them under

my desk all day.  I played run-through-tackle with

the big kids, like the preacher’s wife in Sirens.

Girls didn’t play run-through-tackle in Delray Beach, although

they must have done in Australia.  My father brought back a stuffed

koala bear.  All wooly-bugger and a yard wide.  I loved that teddy bear.
