46.  Net Ban’d

Balder finished the fall term at Georgia Tech,

but he didn’t register for the winter semester.

He moved to Florida.  He moved in with Suzette.

To help her fix up the house.  He had learned carpentry

and plumbing and electrical work, housepainting, in Georgia.

He had co-managed a band that played college bars and fraternity parties.

His idea was to play Potter Brown songs for Potter Brown fans in Northwest Florida.

Carry on the Potter Brown tradition.  He formed a group called Net Ban’d, that played

at a wine bar in Seaside called Fermentations.  They had a poster of The Truman Show

in the unisex bathroom autographed by Peter Weir, the director.  Nobody looking up at

the teevee set.  Duke and Franko, Potter’s old bandmates, played with him.

Also Mike Kish and Norman Jeter, from Pensacola.

They were shit-hot guitar-pickers.
