82.  Maybe

Q:  In Tales of Ordinary Madness, the foundation head tells Charles Serking they are going to see he assume his rightful place in American letters, and he says, “Maybe.”

A:  That’s not cynicism.  It’s a hard-won indifference to the designs of others.

You can’t let what they think of what you do affect what you do.

You just have to look to the lodestar and create.

Follow your vision where it leads.

Q:  Any suggestions?

I mean, what does that philosophy entail?

A:  Think positive.

      Visualize success.

Imagine what you want to happen.

      It will happen.

Or, whatever happens, that’s what happens.
