67.  The Lum Moyen Poems

Clyster Engine was writing a book called

THE LUM MOYEN POEMS:  ESSAYS.

Compare e. e. cummings’ i:  six nonlectures.

I was not invited to.  I did it anyway.

Anything you have to do, you have to go on

and do yourself.    Roland Kirk.  I disintermediated.

My books aren’t banned.  They were weighed in the balance

and found wanting.  My books are outweighed.

Hankering, gross, mystical, nude.

I have a fat lady in the audience, doctor.

A box of chocolate-covered cherries.

Surrounded by spent candy wrappers.

Like brass shell-casings.

I am the fat lady.
