There's a sinkhole at Nutall Rise, across Highway 98
from the road to Williams Landing. A bunch of travel-trailers
around it. A bait-beer-ice store. I was in there one time and a man
offered to buy the other man in there a beer. "When I come to town,"
he said, "75¢ don't mean a God damn thing." What was funny to me was,
he considered Nutall Rise town. What was I--a city-slicker?
