There used to be a bookstore in Sopchoppy
and a recording studio across the street from it.
The bookstore had my books and the studio recorded
Grant Peeples. I think. I don't remember. Other than that,
Sopchoppy is a nice place to live. A 40-minute drive from
the university in Tallahassee and less than that to the beach
at Alligator Point. Sammy Tedder includes nature sounds in
his soundtracks for Elam Stoltzfus's documentaries about
the Apalachicola River Basin and Big Cypress Swamp.
