Folk Art.
He also has a gallery in Florala, Alabama, on the Alabama side.
Sometimes
Woodie is at home, or used to be. He died last month.
I used to stop in and see
him and Dot and we'd talk about Owen and Balder.
Owen used to visit him in Andalusia,
Alabama, where he also kept a home.
Woodie was a sweet person and a great folk
artist. He got the state to send him
to college on a banjo scholarship. He quit
house-painting when his back went out.
I don't think he graduated from college.
