Loup Garou
Loop Group makes me think of
loup-garou, or werewolf. George Rodrigue’s
first blue dog painting, in 1984, was called
Loup Garou. From lupus, or wolf.
I wish I owned that painting.

That painting reminds me of
Shadows-on-the-Teche in
Nights of camellias and hallucinations.
Dark-roast pure-coffee in a demitasse
with hot milk and lots of conversation.
I prefer chicory. Café du Monde.
I prefer a big mug. The milk a little frothy.
Café au lait.
