One time we went camping
at
a bouillabaisse out of scallops, mussels,
a blue crab, a mullet, and a skipjack, or ladyfish,
fightingest fish in salt water, pound for pound,
walk on his tail like a houndfish. A houndfish
looks like a gar. Garfish balls is cooked meat,
flaked, made into a ball with leftover mashed potatoes,
and deep-fried, not garfish testicles. The bouillabaisse
was good. I had brought the dry, or canned ingredients,
including a pinch of Andalusian saffron.
We saw the Milky Way from the sand dunes.
