Plus ça Change

We took our kids on vacation to Ochopee, Florida,

and stayed in the Golden Lion motel. We toured the

Loop Road. We rented canoes and paddled across

Chokoloskee Bay. We ate in Barron Collier’s Inn,

in the dining room with the mounted tarpon on the

pecky-cypress walls, the walls stained brown by nicotine.

The only credit card they took was Gulf Oil. Now BP.

Pollution is our most important product.
