Under Erasure

I like a DVD with bonus features on it.

The filmmaker talking about his craft.

The screenwriter and the director.

I like reviews like you get at IMDb.com,

or at Amazon.com, in the case of a book.

This really isn’t new-agey, it’s the immobilized hero

in modern fiction.  Man writing about man writing.

It has a small audience.  Necessarily.  Woodie Allen

says James Toback makes movies for a small audience.

That don’t make him a bad person.  Stephen Spender said

success corrupts but failure limits, or narrows.

I feel like I was erased.

I feel sous rature, or

under erasure.
