Dear Barbara Lowenstein:
I am just
finishing a series of three books called Generation
of Strainers: A Life on Paper.
I posted all
three books online, daily, as I wrote them, at The Daily Bulletin (www.thedailybulletin.com),
and responded to reader comment, in the books, in real time.
The series ends
on August 31, 2010, my 39th
anniversary as a writer, and 71st birthday.
Still scuffling
after all these years.
The books were
written during the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, and
it forms a dark backdrop to the atmosphere.
I live in Panama City, Florida. I used to fish. My sons still fish. We are native Floridians.
Florida
is where it’s happening. “Orange Blossom
Special.” A pork-chop legislature where
Joe, the old St. Joe Paper Company, still roams the halls, or the lobbies, and
Highway 98 is rerouted, to make way for WindMark
Beach.
