I sell or give away books and pamphlets at street fairs, crafts shows, book-signings, and poetry readings.
I lecture at writers conferences and give away pamphlets I write for the occasion.
I do interviews on radio and television to publicize literary events. Street theater, if appropriate. Making a spectacle of myself.

I am witty and quick on my feet. I have been doing this for 30 years. When I have product to sell I get out there and sell it. At my own expense.
Then I write about doing it and deduct it from my taxes.
The more of this I am able to do, the more of it I do. So far, it’s been on a shoestring. But I was earning my chops.
I call myself the poster boy for marketplace censorship and have the record to back myself up. I stand in towering rebuke to triflers.
Discovering a writer like me is like catching a coelacanth. It’s an event.
It will force a revision of the typology.
