Millennium Trilogy

Stieg Larsson didn’t sell his books

by talking on the television.

He died before they were published.

Any attention they got was on their own,

or because he died with a trilogy written

but unpublished.  I think of Danny Casolaro,

who wrote a book called THE OCTOPUS,

about the military-industrial complex.

He died in a motel bathtub, his manuscript

and research notes missing.  His death was ruled

a suicide.  The Inslaw PROMIS software mess.

I’m getting a message from Microsoft saying

my version of Office is not authentic.

How can that be?  What does it mean?

Steve Jobs markets a cell phone before

it’s ready.  Ho hum, so what.  Business as usual.

That’s life in the fast lane, kimo sabe.
