Old Folks drove to Apalachicola to see
the bookstore.
What else would he want to drive to Apalachicola for?
There was good news and bad news.
The good news was the bookstore was thriving.
The bad news was there was a 4 x 4 with a saltwater kayak on top parked out front.
As your adventure travel correspondent, I implore you to go back where you

Old Folks bought a book about mullet,
which contained recipes for cooking mullet and a list of restaurants that served
mullet.
The woman behind the counter asked him if he was from around there
and he said he was from Panama City.
He said he was a writer, writing a travel
book. Traveling around, doing research.
She was interested. The bookstore
sold lots of travel books.
Travel, food, humor. Entertainment.
Old
Folks said his son had a band in Grayton Beach, that was developing a name for itself,
regionally.
She asked the band's name.
"Dread Clampitt,"
Brew said.
She hadn't heard of them.

When Brew got home he wrote her a letter.

He didn't tell her about Bukowski Never Did This
.
When was
it going to be available? In how many copies?
He couldn't very well schedule
any book release parties until he knew when the book was going to be available.
Was the release date still July 15?
Was it held in abeyance (HIA)?
Old Folks had been HIA before.
Your book hasn't been canceled, it's just
being held in abeyance.
