I used to live in Atlanta and went to Folk Fest every year.
Haven't been
since I moved back to Panama City.
I visited Paradise Garden three times.
The fourth time I drove over it was closed. This was after Howard Finster
died.
I planned to drive there on Monday, August 1. Brenda and I will spend
Sunday night in Atlanta.
If you could arrange for someone to let us in that
would be great. I'm including it in a book I am writing about folk art, roots music,
and vernacular writing.
I traded you a Root Doctor booklet and a
Dread Clampitt CD for a painting that said "Your T. V. Will Tell You
a Lie! (Warning to All)."
I have it over my T. V.

I imagine Carny and Gypsy are keeping you up at night.
I am doing Zine-A-Polooza
in Atlanta on July 31. Owen is playing with David Davis and the Warrior River Boys
at Everett's Barn in Suwanee the night before.
Brenda is going up with me.
The next day we're going to drive over to Summerville to see Paradise Garden.
I got in touch with C. M. Laster, and he said it's not open to the public, but he
could get someone to let us in. He'll be at Folk Fest August 19.
He asked
about you.
