As for my thoughts on "Bukowski Never Did This." I would compare it to the first time I picked up a graphic novel. It was exciting, new, unique, and almost anti-literary (which is a good thing in my mind). Initially, I was not sure what to think. The book seemed extremely tangential, pieces of this and that, here and there. This is exactly what my MTV mind needed to draw me into the book, and hook me. By the time it felt like the book had settled into some sort of pattern of story telling, I was addicted to the tale itself.
