Squib Writer

Cacoëthes Scibendi had a restless urge to write.

He was a squib writer.  He wrote lampoons, or pasquinades.

Short, satirical pieces pasted on the statue of Pasquino in

the village square.  This did not endear him to the burghers.

They’re so easy.  Look at them.

Trumped-up in all their finery.

They satirize themselves.

Satire from satura, or full plate.

Run it into the ground and break its nose off.
