Stage Four

In AT THE HOUSE, I wrote about
school, military service, work.
Now I'm writing about what comes after.
Retirement. Senility. Old age. I'll keel over
in front of my computer monitor, right-clinking
on my mouse, involuntarily. Like a spastic.
I'll accidentally erase my hard drive
with my life's-work on it.
What difference will it make.
A mud puddle with an oil slick.
Mexican bus fumes.
Anaxiforminges.
