Repetition

 

John Irving says he takes great pleasure in

constructing a novel.  Designing the architecture.

That’s what’s wrong with them.  They are fabricated.

Some would say pre-fabricated, or mass-produced,

but everyone has recurring leitmotifs.  Signature licks.

You can’t hold it against a person.  If something works,

run it into the ground and break its nose off.

Look at Steven King, or Tom Clancy.

Talk about a clockwork orange.
