night, we just sat around, exhausted.

we could watch television. Owen and Jean
gave us
a mess of snapper throats and some head-on shrimp.
I boiled
the shrimp in crab boil and fried the red snapper.
Brenda
made her famous squash casserole. We had
Jodi over.
Sunday
afternoon I went to the library and checked out a book
called Master Switch: The Rise and Fall of Information Empires.
Is the
same thing going to happen to the Internet as happened to
magazines
and newspapers, radio, especially FM radio, even
noncommercial,
public radio, and television, especially cable
television,
which used to be commercial-free, but now has
all the
commercials the traffic will bear? What
