Team WUPPIE
Point and Shoot, Florida (YU)--Since they moved back to Florida, and Heap had
a sabbatical (49 weeks), then a Last Ditch Attempt (LDA) grant (over a year), and
now his SUB Fellow grant (six months), Heap had done a lot more travel, to promote
his books, and writing opportunities, like conferences and book fairs, poetry readings
and book-launch parties, had come more frequently.
Heap went to some of these
by himself, but in others, he included Brenda, to help him, and to participate in
the experience. He wanted to share with her what he was doing.
They went
to a zine fest in Atlanta, and came home by way of Paradise Garden.
They
went to a nature center in Alabama, about bought butterfly bushes.
They did
an arts and crafts festival in Fairhope, Alabama, together, and Brenda shot some
film of Heap sitting at a table outside a bookstore for the [secret project] Tom
and Christina were making about him.
Also, they went to Springfest, and Potterfest,
for the [secret project], and, now, they were going to New Orleans.
Oh yea,
she filmed Heap reading his poems at the Gallery Above, in the pamphlet he wrote
for the Howl protest, at Columbia.
