I saw Maud Newton and Dwight Garner
on BookTV yesterday talking about
the
future of publishing, or the future of
the book. They both have blogs, or write
for
online publications. John Freeman, the editor of Granta.
I tried
to get several left-wing publications to look at my
internet writings without
success. Indeed, I got fired for blogging
just for thinking about what they were
writing, and responding to it
in my head. And at my web site on the worldwide
web. It struck me that
I was stuck off here in Point and Shoot, left to my own
resources.
Adrift, alone, without support. Cranky. Crabby and hung up about
rejection. Who wants to read that? i: six nonlectures.
