Pyle called his book WORKING TITLE because his books tended to change names,
once they grabbed ahold.
He thought he'd write a book called BLACK NOVEL.
A continuation of BLACK HARVEST. With the same hero, set in the same area. It
would be dark. Menacing. Scary.
The hero would be fighting principalities
and powers, the forces of darkness, spiritual wickedness in high places.
He would come back to--what did he call it in BLACK HARVEST?--his home town and rent
an apartment on Main Street, downtown.
What did he call it? He must have
a file with stuff like that in it.
